The Alienware Command Center is an exclusive software pre-installed on your system, designed to control features of your Alienware computer. The onboarding feature that is shown at app launch helps you get accustomed and takes you through the features of the application. It is enabled by default when the Alienware Command Center is launched.
If you select "Don't show again," the onboarding feature will not be displayed the next time the app is launched. You can reset the onboarding feature on the settings page. The Dashboard tab has an adaptive main home page that has a different view, depending on whether you're in system or gaming mode.
The dashboard for system mode displays your entire ecosystem at one glance, including your system, Alienware displays, and interconnected peripherals. It also shows performance and thermal gauges, including CPU, GPU, memory discs, temperature, and fan speed. You can choose between preset modes such as battery, quiet, balance, performance, max, overdrive, or custom.
You'll also see your game library with sorting filters. Tap a title to launch the game or customize its theme. The dashboard for game mode has the following sections. Performance displays monitor performance and thermal system information. Game title and real-time data show your current FPS, CPU, and GPU utilization. Ecosystem displays your system and peripherals with the current gaming theme applied.
The performance tab displays the current performance preset, and you can switch between performance view and thermal view. Performance view has the CPU utilization, GPU utilization, memory, and C drive. Thermal view has the CPU temperature, CPU fan speed, GPU temperature, and GPU fan speed. To switch between the different views, click on the gauge or temperature icon.
In the AlienFX tab, you can manage presets, lighting, multi-select keys for multiple lighting zones, key binding, and settings. Presets can be created and applied to different zones on your computer, display, and peripherals. The Game Library tab has many features. You can search for games, filter and sort the library, change the game or app tile size, and refresh your game library.
You can also add games manually in the command center, change settings, and add games or apps to your favorites. If you have questions about the Alienware Command Center, contact us via one of the options on our support website.
