How to change the RAID Level or Size of a configured Virtual Disk
In this video you will learn how to increase the size of your virtual disk and change the RAID level if needed. Not all RAID configurations support the change of level. There are also limitations when increasing the capacity of a virtual disk. For more Information on this, please check the Dell EMC Knowledge Base: https://www.dell.com/support/article/sln305744/
You can easily create virtual disk by using the controller bios or Idre nine.
Here you will learn how it's done always back up your data before any rate reconfiguration.
Dell EMC is not responsible for any data lost due to the instructions in this guide types of reconfiguration, online capacity
expansion or OC can be done if there is free unused space available on a physical disk used for the virtual disk, you want to
increase free space can also be available when you replace this group's physical disk with a larger disk using the replace
member feature or add an additional physical disk rate level migration is available since IR nine generation.
If a supported PERC nine or PERC 10 is used RLM and OC can be done simultaneously from the system set up.
Go to divide settings and select the PB within the controller menu.
