This video will guide you through creating a new volume on your EqualLogic array. To use this video, you will need the following: An EqualLogic group running version 6.0.7 or later. A Java-enabled browser supported by your current firmware. The IPv4 address for the group.
Credentials for a group administration account on this group, Such as "group admin." The initiator name, or IQN, of the host connecting to the volume. To begin, log in using the administrative account credentials. Choose Create Volume in the Activities section.
Under General properties, enter the new volume name in the Name field. Review the configuration options and select Next. Under Volume space, enter the size of the volume in the Volume size field, Then choose the unit of measure. If all the entries in the Estimated space table show green, There is enough available space to create the volume. If any tables are marked red, you will need to decrease the volume size.
Ensure the Restricted access radio button is checked, Then select the Limit access to iSCSI initiator name check box. The Edit box below will be enabled. Enter the IQN of the connecting system. Confirm the settings for the volume. The Back button may be used to return to previous steps to make changes. Choose the Finish button to create the volume. Your new volume is now created.
