Prerequisites
Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
Power off the system and all attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet, and disconnect the peripherals.
If applicable, remove the system from the rack.
Remove the system cover.
Remove the expansion card riser.
Removing the PERC card:
Remove the screw securing the blue release latch.
Rotate the blue release latch to disengage it from the PERC card.
Push the blue release latch until the tab on the latch clicks into the slot on the chassis.
Hold the PERC card by the edges and pull it to disconnect it from the connector on the system board.
Flip the PERC card and disconnect the cable from the PERC card.
Installing the PERC card:
Connect the PERC cable to the PERC card.
Flip and insert the PERC card in the connector on the system board.
Press the tab on the blue release latch to disengage it from the slot on the chassis.
Rotate the blue release latch until it locks with the PERC card.
Secure the blue release latch with a screw.
Install the expansion card riser.
Follow the procedure listed in the After working inside your system.
Replace the system cover.
If applicable, install the system into the rack.
Reconnect the peripherals and connect the system to the electrical outlet.
Power on the attached peripherals and then power on the system.
