This video shows how to replace the front bezel on an Alienware, Aurora R 13 and or Alienware Aurora Risin edition R 14. Before you begin, create a recovery drive and back up all data power off the computer and disconnect all attached peripherals ensure that you always use ESD protection when working inside the computer to begin, pull the cable cover away from the computer.
The cable cover is an optional accessory skip this step. If the cable cover is not shipped with the computer loosen the captive screw that secures the left side cover, release latch to the chassis, pull the left side cover, release latch to release the left side cover away from the chassis.
Lift, the left side cover from the chassis, locate the right side cover, knock the top rear tab of the right side cover until the top of the right side cover is detached from the chassis, knock the bottom rear tab of the right side cover until the bottom of the right side cover is detached from the chassis.
Remove the right side cover from the chassis, locate the top cover, press your thumbs down at the rear of the top cover. And use your fingers to pull the two rear latches out. Press your thumbs down at the front of the top cover and use your fingers to pull the two front latches out to loosen the top cover at its fronts and lift the top cover.
Locate the front IO panel cable, disconnect the front IO panel cable from the system board, pull the tabs of the front bezel from the slots on the front panel, start with the tab on top, proceed to the tabs on the left of the front bezel, pull the front bazzle together with the front IO panel cable away from the chassis.
Slowly, you have successfully removed the front vesel. Now let's install the front vesel align the front beel at the front panel, route the front IO panel cable through the slot on the front panel, push the front bazzle towards the front panel and ensure the tabs clip onto the slots of the front panel.
Connect the front Bazzel data cable from the front bazzle to the system board. Now let's install the top cover, align the tabs on the top cover with the slots on the chassis and snap the top cover into place. Now let's install the right cover, align the tabs on the right side cover with the slots on the chassis, push the right side cover towards the chassis until it snaps in the place.
Now let's install the left side cover, locate the tabs on the left side cover and slots on the chassis, rotate the left side cover towards the chassis until it snaps into place, tighten the captive screw that secures the left side cover, release latch to the chassis place the cable cover back at the rear of the chassis.
