In this video, we show how to replace the GPU, in a PowerEdge XE7740. To remove the GPU card, first remove the HPM assembly and E3 backplane tray out of the system, then hold and lift the GPU gap filler. Now remove the screws from the GPU shroud and lift it out of the system.
Holding the plunger, slide the GPU bracket and lift it out of the system, disconnect the GPU cables. Using a PCIe blank, or a flat screwdriver to lift the front of the GPU card and then lift the GPU out of the system.
To install the GPU card, align and insert the GPU firmly into its place, then reconnect the cable. Now, align and slide the GPU bracket. Then align and insert the GPU shroud in its place and tighten it with the screws.
