In this video, we’ll go over how to set up Windows Hello on your Windows 11 Dell PC. The first thing you’ll need to do is create a Windows Hello PIN. Click on the “Start” menu and go to “Settings”. Click on “Accounts”, select “Sign-in options”, then select “PIN”. Click the “Set up” button, then click “Next”.
You may be asked to confirm your Windows Account password. In the “Set up a PIN” window, enter your new PIN. Confirm it, and click “OK”. If your system supports it, you’ll have the option to set up the facial and fingerprint recognition features. You can find a complete list of supported systems on our support website.
To set up facial recognition, click on the Windows “Start” button and go to “Settings”. Click on “Accounts”, and select “Sign-in options”. Select “Facial recognition”. Click the “Set up” button and then “Get started”. You will be asked to confirm your Windows Hello PIN.
For this next part, you’ll need to stare directly at your system’s webcam so Windows Hello can identify your face and create the biometrics needed. Make sure to have good lighting conditions. Once it’s all set, click on “Close”. To set up fingerprint recognition, click on the Windows “Start” button and go to “Settings”. Click on “Accounts”, select “Sign-in options”, and click on “Fingerprint recognition”.
Click “Set up” and then “Get started”. You’ll be asked to confirm your Windows Hello PIN. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to get a proper fingerprint reading. Using different angles on the sensor will improve the reading. Once it’s set you have the option to add another finger. Otherwise, click on “Close”.
