In this video, you will learn how to view the iDRAC SNMP Traps received from the host OS on Linux operating systems. To begin login to the Linux OS using SSH as root user. Type y to start the service. Now, type the following command to send a test alert for specified event to the configured destination. racadm eventfilters test –i FAN001 Please note that the global alerts switch should be enabled to be able to execute the above command. Here, a successful message is displayed.
Now, open the Trap Listening tool. Navigate to the trap destination, and click the latest trap.
