If you have disabled the automatic failback policy, the system VDM (SVDM) may belong to the opposite SP from the owner after the Power Off, On or after rebooting the SP.
If the above is the case, Modifying the NAS Server's SP (Change the NAS server owner) may fail.

Failed: Resources are not on the owner SP. Initiate failback operation manually or automatically and then retry the operation. (Error Code:0x6720669)

  • If the environment is configured with an Interface for Replication, you can use the Unisphere UI display to determine if SVDM failover is occurring.
    PROTECTION & MOBILITY > Interfaces

  • If the Interface for Replication does not exist, you can check it only with the CLI.

    1. Connect to Unity over ssh as service user.
    2. Perform the following command.
# svc_view_services -c

 Clone Set: Main [child_main]
     Started: [ spa spb ]
 Clone Set: DoFencing [child_DoFencing]
     Started: [ spa spb ]
 DartConfigurator       (ocf::heartbeat:CFRA):  Started spb

 NAS_A  (ocf::heartbeat:CFRA):  Started spb  << NAS_A (SVDM_A) is running on SPB.
 NAS_B  (ocf::heartbeat:CFRA):  Started spb

When attempting to manually move the Owner of the NAS Server, it is recommended to perform the "Failback now" operation beforehand.

If the failback now does not work as expected, contact Dell Support.
