How can I get support for Windows 11?
Dell supports Windows 11 with the general availability beginning of October 5, 2021 on:
- New computers with Windows 11 factory installed
- Dell computers tested for upgrade to Windows 11
For computers that do not meet Windows 11 upgrade requirements, Dell continues to support Windows 10.

How can I get support for Windows 11 if my computer does not meet Windows 11 hardware requirements?
Dell continues to support your computer within the scope of the hardware warranty the computer was shipped with.
Driver and BIOS updates:
Systems that do not meet Windows 11 hardware requirements can consume driver and firmware updates through Windows Updates. Dell however does not guarantee Windows 11 driver availability for such computer models, and performance troubleshooting is limited to best effort (based on the support agreement of the computer).
Does Dell support Windows 11 Insider builds, or Windows 11 images that bypass the hardware requirements?
No. Dell agents ask you to revert to the factory installed Windows 10 edition for any performance-related troubleshooting assistance.
How can I upgrade to Windows 11?
The computer must meet or exceed minimum system requirements for Windows 11.
