Note: Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. Dell recommends that all eligible devices upgrade to Windows 11. Devices that do not meet minimum requirements to upgrade to Windows 11 should be replaced with devices that can run Windows 11. See our Microsoft Windows 10 End of Support Announcement for details.

How can I get support for Windows 11?

Dell supports Windows 11 on the following devices:

For computers that do not meet Windows 11 upgrade requirements, Dell will continue to support Windows 10 through its lifecycle. Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. If your device does not meet minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11, Dell recommends purchasing a new device that supports Windows 11.

Will Dell support Windows 11 if my computer does not meet Windows 11 hardware requirements?

Dell will continue to support your computer within the scope of the hardware warranty the computer was shipped with. Dell will support the factory installed operating system throughout its lifecycle. Dell does not support Windows 11 on devices that do not meet minimum hardware requirements, and drivers will not be provided.

Driver and BIOS updates:

Devices that do not meet Windows 11 hardware requirements may have limited driver and firmware support through Windows Update. Dell does not provide Windows 11 drivers for such devices, and operating system support is not provided. Dell will continue to support the hardware of the device in accordance with the hardware warranty.

Does Dell support Windows 11 Insider builds, or Windows 11 images that bypass the hardware requirements?

No. Dell agents ask you to revert to the factory installed Windows 10 edition for any performance-related troubleshooting assistance.

How can I upgrade to Windows 11?

The computer must meet or exceed minimum system requirements for Windows 11.

Note: Systems with Windows 10 20H1 or older must upgrade to 21H1 to receive the Windows 11 upgrade offer.

If your device is eligible to receive the upgrade to Windows 11, follow these steps:

Select Start, then open Settings > Privacy and Security > Windows Update. If your PC meets the minimum system requirements and is able to upgrade, you should see an option in Windows Update to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

Where can I find drivers for Windows 11?
Drivers for Dell computers tested for update to Windows 11 build 22H2 and previous versions of Windows 11 are available for download at https://www.dell.com/support/home. If a computer shipped with Windows 10 does not meet minimum requirements and has not been tested for Windows 11, drivers will not be made available. Dell does not recommend upgrading devices that do not meet the minimum requirements for Windows 11.
