NetWorker: nsrwatch failing with error "Cannot connect to resource database" for root user

Symptoms

Issue has occurred on the Linux system. Able use the nsrwatch using non-root user.

However, with the root user it is failing to connect.

Error message: 

Cannot connect to resource database: Security token has expired.

Cause

Stale security session token under /nsr/tmp/sec/tokens was created.

Resolution

  1. Stop the services:
    systemctl stop networker
  2. Rename the tmp folder: 
    mv /nsr/tmp /nsr/tmp_old
  3. Restart the networker services: 
    systemctl start networker
