Export Windows Server event logs

Use the following steps to export the Application or System event logs from Windows Event Viewer:

  1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.
  2. Type the following command and press Enter:
    eventvwr.msc

  3. In the left pane, click Windows Logs.

  4. Select System to view system logs or select Application to view application logs.

    All events for the selected log are displayed.

  5. In the top menu bar, click Action and then click Save All Events As.

  6. Enter a file name and select a save location. These exported log files can be sent to Dell Technical Support to help identify and resolve issues.
