Symptoms

Loss of connectivity on all interfaces

kern.info logs show the following:
ice 0000:1f:00.0: Error clearing VSI prune list
ice 0000:af:00.2: Failed to remove RDMA switch rule
ice 0000:ae:00.2: ethXx: Attempt to be Primary, but incompatible state. 1

Cause

Changing a virtual bond through the DD UI or CLI from LACP to another type while switch side is configured for LACP disables all interfaces.
The root cause is a known class of rare ice driver issue on intel network cards.

Resolution

Undo the change by iDRAC and a reboot to restore connectivity.
If iDRAC is not available, then direct serial access is needed.
Engineering PowerEdge and Intel team are working on a permanent fix.
