Instructions

The following procedure enables debug in the edp_4_vcac.log log file:

  • The default edp_4_vcac.log level is the same as the log level set in the Control Center configure logs.
    • The max file count and max file size values provided in the Control Center are only for server.log file.
  • Increasing the edp_4_vcac.log level in the /var/lib/vco/app-server/conf/log4j.xml value takes precedence over the Control Center configure level.
  • Change the vco Priority Value to "DEBUG":
<category additivity="false" name="com.emc.edp4vcac"> <priority value="DEBUG"/> <!-- Set to whatever level you want --> </category>

Additional Information

Saving log parameters in Control Center log4j.xml overwrites the edp_4_vcac.log changes. It is recommended to first configure logs in the Control Center and then change log4j and restart the vco-server service for all nodes.
