Symptoms

Il server NetWorker non riesce a eseguire il mounting di un ddboost dopo aver orchestrato la replica sul server NetWorker di destinazione. NetWorker Management Console (NMC) mostra il seguente errore:

ddp_utime()  failed path_name=/nwservername/devicename/volhdr Err 5044  Read-only file system

Cause

Se l MTree è RO/RD, non può accettare scritture perché è una destinazione di replica. Lo storage node NetWorker prevede un ddboost dispositivo da scrivere durante il montaggio.

  • RW = Read Write → l MTree è scrivibile in lettura.  
  • RO = Read Only → L MTree non può accettare operazioni di scrittura.
  • RD = Replication Destination → L MTree è la destinazione della replica ed è bloccato per le scritture

Resolution

La configurazione di NetWorker deve riflettere il fatto che questo dispositivo Data Domain ddboost è read-only. Questa opzione ignora le operazioni correlate alla scrittura (come l'etichettatura o l'aggiornamento dei supporti) e consente al mount di avere esito positivo.

  1. In NMC cliccare con il pulsante destro del mouse su replicated device e device properties -> abilitare la casella di controllo Read-only.
  2. Eseguire il mount del dispositivo replicato.
