- In rare scenarios in some computers with Dell Encryption, data loss may occur to files that are heavily used.
- It is not suggested using CHKDSK outside of extreme circumstances on a computer running Dell Encryption.
System File Checker (SFC)

sfc /scannowwhich scans and verifies the versions of all protected system files after you restart your computer. - These types of files should be SDE encrypted, and the keys would be released at boot.
- No known issues exist when using this utility.
System Restore
- System Restore is not supported with Dell Encryption. Follow the recovery process in the Recovery Guide .
Note: This applies to FFE, FDE, and SED support System Restore.
