PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM): PPCP installeren op PPDM Linux-implementatiesystemen

Instructions

Voor PPDM in Linux-implementaties wordt de software uitgevoerd in een containeromgeving. Er zijn dus een paar stappen nodig om de PowerProtect opdrachtregeltool (PPCP) uit te voeren.

De Dell Support Engineer biedt PPCP (ppcp.zip), een ondersteuningstool voor PPDM-servers, indien nodig.

Hier volgt de procedure voor het uploaden van de PPCP-tool naar de PPDM-container:
 

  1. Upload de ppcp.zip naar de Linux-omgeving. Klanten kunnen SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) of SCP (Secure Copy Protocol) gebruiken om het bestand over te dragen naar het Linux-systeem. 

    In dit voorbeeld wordt de ppcp.zip bestand is geüpload naar de Linux /tmp Directory: 
    suse-ppdm:~ # ls -la /tmp/ppcp.zip

  2. Zoek in het Linux-systeem het interne IP-adres met de opdracht: 
    ip addr

    In deze labomgeving is het interne IP-adres van Linux bijvoorbeeld 172.24.0.193: 
    suse-ppdm:/tmp # ip addr show dev brpp0

  3. Toegang tot de PPDM core shell met de opdracht: 
    sudo ppdmadmin shell -c core

     

  4. Gebruik de scp opdracht om het bestand van de Linux naar de PPDM-container te kopiëren: 
    scp root@<Linux internal IP address>:<path to the file> <local path to the file>

     

    De ppcp.zip beschikbaar wordt in de PPDM-container: 
    admin@ppdm-core:~> scp root@172.24.0.193:/tmp/ppcp.zip /home/admin/

  5. Pak het bestand uit en voeg de machtiging Uitvoeren toe aan het bestand:

  6. De PPCP is klaar voor gebruik. 
     
  7. Als Dell Support een bestand nodig heeft voor beoordeling, bijvoorbeeld als een back-up van de PPDM internal database (ESDB) wordt verzameld:

Additional Information

SCP van het Linux-systeem naar de PPDM-container is niet toegestaan.

Het interne IP-adres van PPDM is 172.24.0.200:
