Instructions

For PPDM som kjører i Linux-baserte distribusjoner, kjører programvaren i et beholdermiljø. Det kreves derfor noen få trinn for å kjøre PowerProtect Command Line Tool (PPCP).

Dells kundestøttetekniker tilbyr PPCP (ppcp.zip), et støtteverktøy for PPDM-servere ved behov.

Her er fremgangsmåten for å laste opp PPCP-verktøyet til PPDM-beholderen:
 

  1. Last opp ppcp.zip til Linux-miljøet. Kunder kan bruke Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) eller Secure Copy Protocol (SCP) for å overføre filen til Linux-systemet. 

    I dette eksemplet er ppcp.zip filen lastes opp til Linux /tmp Katalogen: 
    suse-ppdm:~ # ls -la /tmp/ppcp.zip

  2. I Linux-systemet finner du den interne IP-adressen med kommandoen: 
    ip addr

    I dette laboratoriemiljøet er for eksempel den interne Linux-IP-adressen 172.24.0.193: 
    suse-ppdm:/tmp # ip addr show dev brpp0

  3. Tilgang til PPDM-kjerneskallet med kommandoen: 
    sudo ppdmadmin shell -c core

     

  4. Trykk på scp -kommando for å kopiere filen fra Linux til PPDM-beholderen: 
    scp root@<Linux internal IP address>:<path to the file> <local path to the file>

     

    Informasjonen i ppcp.zip blir tilgjengelig i PPDM-beholderen:

  5. Pakk ut filen, og legg til kjøretillatelsen i filen:

  7. Hvis Dell Support krever en fil for gjennomgang, for eksempel hvis en sikkerhetskopi av PPDM-interndatabasen (ESDB) samles inn:

Additional Information

SCP fra Linux-systemet til PPDM-beholderen er ikke tillatt.

Den interne PPDM-IP-adressen er 172.24.0.200:
