ESXi host VMkernel logs (/var/run/log/vmkernel.*) show events:

Cause
Splitter and RecoverPoint Appliances (RPAs) communicate using the Message Passing Protocol (MPI). Sometimes the command to verify the connection is alive may fail.
Resolution
Resolution:
This event is benign and has no impact.
If there are other splitter-related errors, such as "DEGRADED" state errors, it needs investigation.
There are options to reduce RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines Splitter logging into the VMkernel log.
