Symptoms

NAS Code upgrade from VNX File Operating Environment (OE) 8.1.9.121 to File OE 8.1.9-211.

After upgrading VNX File OE from 8.1.9.121 to VNX File OE 8.1.9-211, the following command no longer returns an output. It only returns a 'header' in the standard output.

Version: 8.1.9-217

[nasadmin@CS0 ~]$ /nas/bin/nas_ckpt_schedule -report -fields name,pfsId,times
"name","pfsId","times"

Notice that the command no longer returned the expected output. It only provides 'name, pfsID,time' headers without interpreting the command.

Cause

This issue is being investigated.

Resolution

One workaround is to add "cvfsPrefix", then the command displays correctly:

[nasadmin@CS0 ~]$ /nas/bin/nas_ckpt_schedule -report -fields name,pfsId,times,unit,cvfsPrefix
"name","pfsId","times","unit","cvfsPrefix"
"sch1","3864","18:15","DAYS",""
