Symptoms

  • Host file on the SAP HANA client is not updated with its FQDN name.
  • Ping and nslookup from PPDM server to the SAP HANA client (bi-directional) - connects with Short name, FQDN and IP.
  • Just the hosts file are not updated with FQDN names 

Cause

Incorrect update on the hosts file of the SAP HANA client.

Resolution

Updated the hosts file on SAP HANA client and PPDM server with IP FQDN and short name of client.
