为读/写访问配置 SNMP 社区字符串的相应命令，即其他系统将用于访问交换机（如 VCE Vision）的命令是 snmp-server 社区： 
Syntax:
snmp-server community name group {ro | rw}

Example:
switch(config)# snmp-server community public ro 
 

请注意，ro 和rw 组可能分别自动转换为网络操作员和网络管理员。  这些术语是可互换的。


SNMP 陷阱通过 snmp-server 主机命令进行配置，这还需要一个社区字符串值才能通过陷阱发送。  此命令不会配置或启用用于读/写访问的 SNMP 团体字符串。
