Dell Networking Edge Gateway Out of Box installatie cloud-init mislukt

Summary: Soms treedt er bij het eerste opstarten van een Edge-gateway met Ubuntu een fout op waardoor de initiële installatie niet correct kan worden uitgevoerd.

Symptoms

Wanneer de Edge Gateway voor het eerst wordt opgestart met Ubuntu, mislukt het cloud-init-proces. U kunt een of meer van de volgende symptomen ondervinden:
De Ethernet-poorten werken niet bij het opstarten.
Het Ubuntu-wachtwoord hoefde niet te worden gewijzigd bij de eerste keer opstarten.

Cause

Dit komt doordat Ubuntu cloud-init mislukt of de eerste installatie niet heeft voltooid.

Resolution

Als u het cloud-init-proces opnieuw wilt instellen, meldt u zich aan bij het apparaat met de standaardreferenties en voert u de volgende opdrachten uit:  
sudo rm -rf /var/lib/cloud/instance
sudo cloud-ini clean
sudo rm /var/log/cloud-init*.log
sudo poweroff

Het systeem activeert nu het init-local-proces bij de volgende keer inschakelen.
