Symptoms

  • VMware vCenter는 클라우드 기반 솔루션으로 배포됩니다.
    • VMware Cloud on AWS(Amazon Web Services).
    • AVS(Azure VMware Solution)
    • GCVE(Google Cloud VMware Engine)
  • NVP(NetWorker VMware Protection) vProxy 파일 레벨 복원, 마운트 또는 인스턴트 복구 작업이 실패합니다. 관찰된 오류는 다양할 수 있지만 일반적으로 다음과 같이 구성됩니다.
    • vProxy가 Data Domain의 NFS(Network File Service)에 연결하지 못합니다.
    • vProxy가 FLR 중에 타겟 VM에 VM 디스크를 마운트하지 못합니다.

Cause

클라우드 플랫폼에 배포된 vCenter에는 다음 작업이 지원되지 않습니다.

  • 이미지 기반 백업에서의 파일 레벨 복원
  • 이미지 기반 백업에서 인스턴트 액세스 복원
  • 긴급 복원(vCenter를 바이패스하고 ESXi 호스트로 직접 이미지 레벨 복원)
  • 애플리케이션 정합성이 보장되는(SQL MSVMAPPAGENT) 백업 또는 복원
  • NBD(Network Block Device) 또는 NBDSLL 전송 모드를 사용하여 백업 또는 복원
  • SDDC(Software-Defined Datacenter)의 폴더 내에 있는 VM의 백업 또는 복원
  • vProxy 재배포(nsrvproxy_mgmt redeploy)

Resolution

클라우드 플랫폼에서는 이미지 기반 또는 VMDK(Virtual Machine Disk) 복원만 지원됩니다.

 

클라우드 기반 VM의 FLR을 수행하려면 VM에 NetWorker Client 소프트웨어가 설치되어 있어야 합니다. VM용 NetWorker Server에 NetWorker Client를 구성하고 클라이언트 기반 백업을 수행합니다. 자세한 내용은 NetWorker Administration Guide를 참조하십시오.
