Symptoms

The PowerStore reports this alert and dials home creating an automated service request.

Symptom Code: 0x00400601
Description: Root partition usage (critical) - Root partition usage of node X has exceeded XX% on mount /.

Some Appliances may also raise the alert:

Symptom Code: 0x00400801
Description: cyc_cfs partition usage (high) - Root partition usage has exceeded XX% on mount /cyc_cfs/.

Cause

Resolution

The vast majority of causes leading to partition full conditions have been resolved in PowerStoreOS LTS-v4.1.x. After resolving the current condition, update the PowerStore Appliance to PowerStoreOS LTS-v4.1.x or later.

Recovery:

The self-service action is to install and use the svc_partion_cleanup service script to investigate and clean up the root partitions.
