In dit artikel wordt het proces beschreven om te voorkomen dat de webinterface (GUI) wordt getimed op de Dell Networking N serie switch. Modellen zijn onder meer: N1524, N1548, N2024, N2048, N3024, N3048, N3100, N4032, N4064

Firmware 6.3.0.1 introduceerde een nieuwe opdracht 'ip http timeout-policy' en de opdracht 'exec-timeout 0' is afgeschreven. Voor firmware 6.3.0.1 en hoger zijn geen oneindige time-outs mogelijk. Om de maximale time-outs op de firmware 6.3.0.1 en hoger toe te staan, voert u de volgende actie uit:
console(config)#ip http timeout-policy idle 3600 life 86400
Om te voorkomen dat time-outs op firmware 6.1. x. x tot en met 6.2. x. x worden uitgevoerd:
