Symptoms

  • ファイバー チャネル(FC)経由でPowerPathがインストールされているホストで」と表示される場合がありますIllegal Requestオペコード0xC3のメッセージ
  • このメッセージは約10秒ごとに繰り返され、頻繁にログ エントリーが作成される場合があります
  • I/O操作に対する機能的な影響は確認されませんが、メッセージが繰り返し表示されると、システム ログとモニタリング ツールが煩雑 になる可能性があります

Cause

ベンダー固有のSCSIコマンド 「PowerPath Ping」(オペコード0xC3) は、 PowerStoreOSバージョン3.0以降で導入されました。PowerPathは、このコマンドを使用して、PowerStoreアレイのSANレイテンシーを評価します。
PowerStoreOS 3.xリリース内の0xC3コマンドの実装におけるソフトウェアの問題により、WindowsやRHEL 8などの特定のオペレーティング システムでは、Fibre Channel経由でPowerPathによって発行されたコマンドが失敗する場合があります。

Resolution

この問題は 、PowerStoreOSバージョン4.0以降で解決されています。
アレイを PowerStoreOSにアップグレードして最新のLTSリリースにすると、 PowerPath Ping(オペコード0xC3) コマンドが適切に処理され、「 Illegal Request」メッセージが繰り返し表示されなくなります。
