Cause

공급업체별 SCSI 명령 "PowerPath Ping"(opcode 0xC3) 은 PowerStoreOS 버전 3.0 이상에서 도입되었습니다. PowerPath는 이 명령을 사용하여 PowerStore 어레이에서 SAN 레이턴시를 평가합니다.
PowerStoreOS 3.x 릴리스 내에서 0xC3 명령을 구현하는 소프트웨어 문제로 인해 Windows 및 RHEL 8과 같은 특정 운영 체제에서Fibre Channel을 통해 PowerPath에서 실행한 명령이 실패할 수 있습니다.

Resolution

이 문제는 PowerStoreOS 버전 4.0 이상에서 해결되었습니다.
어레이를 PowerStoreOS에서 최신 LTS 릴리스로 업그레이드하면PowerPath Ping(opcode 0xC3) 명령을 적절히 처리하여 반복되는 "Illegal Request" 메시지를 제거할 수 있습니다.
