Symptoms

Upgraded Avamar server to v7.3

After Avamar server upgraded to Avamar v7.3, proxy server registration stopped working. when trying to reregister, it hangs at "UN-Registering with the MCS"

From proxy side, when trying to run initproxyappliance.sh to register the proxy to MCS. the avagent.log shows the following info. it went into hang state

Cause

With version 7.3.0.226, client-server authentication is enabled by default.

Following are the two known reasons for this issue: 

1. Incorrect certificate on either the client or on the Data Domain system 
2. The time on the Data Domain system is out of sync with the time on the Avamar Server (approximately >2 min)
