Symptoms

Følgende fejl opstår i lagerfasen, når du kører Dell System Update (DSU) 2.0.0 til VMware ESXi:

Inventory file not found - /scratch/opt/dell/dell_dup/inv.xml
Progress report is available at:/scratch/opt/dell/dell_dup/DSU_STATUS.json
Exiting DSU!

Cause

Dette skyldes, at DSU forsøger at køre Inventory Collector-modulet, som i sig selv ikke understøttes på VMware ESXi. DSU 2.0.0 til ESXi skal altid køres i "passthough", som indsamler firmwarelager direkte fra iDRAC i stedet for Inventory Collector-modulet, der kører på operativsystemet.

Resolution

Når du kører en DSU-metode på en VMware ESXi-vært enten i den lokale konsol, via SSH eller eksternt fra en anden DSU-forekomst, skal du altid tilføje følgende kommandolinjeindstillinger: 
--use-idrac-passthrough --source-type=REPOSITORY
