Symptoms

Seuraava virhe ilmenee inventaariovaiheessa, kun VMware ESXi:lle suoritetaan Dell System Update (DSU) 2.0.0:

Inventory file not found - /scratch/opt/dell/dell_dup/inv.xml
Progress report is available at:/scratch/opt/dell/dell_dup/DSU_STATUS.json
Exiting DSU!

Cause

Syynä on se, että DSU yrittää suorittaa Inventory Collector -moduulia, jota VMware ESXi ei tue. ESXi:n DSU 2.0.0 on suoritettava aina"passthough" -tila, joka kerää laiteohjelmistoluettelon suoraan iDRACista käyttöjärjestelmässä käynnissä olevan Inventory Collector -moduulin sijaan.

Resolution

Kun suoritat DSU-menetelmää VMware ESXi -isännässä joko paikallisessa konsolissa, SSH:n kautta tai etänä toisesta DSU-esiintymästä, lisää aina seuraavat komentorivivaihtoehdot: 
--use-idrac-passthrough --source-type=REPOSITORY
