Symptoms

Følgende feil oppstår under beholdningsfasen når du kjører Dell System Update (DSU) 2.0.0 for VMware ESXi:

Inventory file not found - /scratch/opt/dell/dell_dup/inv.xml
Progress report is available at:/scratch/opt/dell/dell_dup/DSU_STATUS.json
Exiting DSU!

Cause

Dette skyldes at DSU prøver å kjøre Inventory Collector-modulen, som i seg selv ikke støttes på VMware ESXi. DSU 2.0.0 for ESXi må alltid kjøres i "passthough" -modus som samler inn fastvarebeholdning direkte fra iDRAC i stedet for Inventory Collector-modulen som kjører på operativsystemet.

Resolution

Når du kjører en DSU-metode på en VMware ESXi-vert enten i den lokale konsollen, over SSH eller eksternt fra en annen DSU-forekomst, må du alltid legge til følgende kommandolinjealternativer: 
--use-idrac-passthrough --source-type=REPOSITORY
