Connectrix MDS: Lijnkaart start niet op met foutmelding 'POORT-5-MODULE_BRINGUP_NOT_ALLOWED'

Symptoms

Een lijnkaart kan niet worden opgestart wanneer deze in een MDS Director-slot is geplaatst dat eerder is ingevuld.

Wanneer de nieuwe lijnkaart van hetzelfde model is als de oorspronkelijke lijnkaart, wordt het volgende syslog-bericht weergegeven:

%PORT-5-MODULE_BRINGUP_NOT_ALLOWED: Not allowing module 8 to come up for reason: Speed group configuration is not supported. (0x4029018c)

Als de nieuwe lijnkaart een ander model is dan de oorspronkelijke lijnkaart, dan wordt het volgende syslog-bericht weergegeven:

%PORT-5-MODULE_BRINGUP_NOT_ALLOWED: Not allowing module 10 to come up for reason: Speed change not allowed (0x4029007f)

In beide scenario's worden de volgende reeksen syslogs vastgelegd:

%VMM-2-VMM_SERVICE_ERR: VDC1: Service SAP Port manager (high) for slot 8 returned error 0x402901ac (Module insertion failed) in if_bind sequence

%IM-3-IM_RESP_ERROR: Component MTS_SAP_VMM opcode:MTS_OPC_IM_IF_VDC_BIND in vdc:1 returned error:Module insertion failed

%IM-3-IM_SEQ_ERROR: Error (Module insertion failed) while communicating with component MTS_SAP_VMM opcode:MTS_OPC_IM_IF_VDC_BIND (for:RID_MODULE: 8)

%MODULE-2-LCM_MODULE_INSERT_FAILURE_NEG_RSP: Slot-8 has failed to boot up because of service "Im SAP" due to module insertion failure

De module krijgt uiteindelijk een foutstatus zoals weergegeven in show module command:

Cause

Cisco-interoperabiliteitsprobleem

Resolution

Tijdelijke oplossing:
Voer de opdracht uit om dit probleem te voorkomen purge module x running-config terwijl het slot leeg is.

Als het probleem zich al heeft voorgedaan, maak dan een back-up van de configuratie en voer de volgende verstorende opdrachten uit.
