Symptoms & Causes:
With SRM 4.7.1.0 though the test connection is passed, but sometimes the user is still not able to send the data to SRS via gateway server.  The following steps show how to connect directly and how to connect via gateway server.

Resolution

  1. There are two ways to connect to SRS from SRM:
    • Direct connect
    • Secure Gateway
  2. Check the Enable Connectivity checkbox which is by default ‘Direct’ connectivity.
  3. Alternatively, to enable Dell Technologies Connectivity via gateway server, do the following:
  1. Check the Connect Via Gateway Server checkbox.
  2. Type the Primary or Secondary Gateway IP address and the Gateway Port to be used.
  1. Have a valid ELMS license installed and enter a Valid Access Key and PIN.

  1. If the test connection shows success but still data is not sent to SRS or connectivity issue with the SCG server then please check the logs.
  1. For Linux or vApp the log location is:  <APG_Install_DIR>/APG/ese/var/log/ESE.log

  1. For Windows the log location is:  <APG_Install_DIR>\APG\ESE\data\log\ESE.log
