Symptoms

  • En administrator fjernede vNIC er fra den fysiske konfiguration af Dell Unity
  • Der blev genstartet under en ikke-forstyrrende opgradering (NDU)
  • Som følge heraf blev data utilgængelige (D/U), efter at storageprocessoren (SP) blev genstartet under opgraderingsproceduren
  • SP kunne ikke starte op i normal tilstand på Dell UnityVSA og er i servicetilstand

Cause

Ændring af en fysisk Dell UnityVSA-konfiguration i vSphere understøttes ikke og kan forårsage problemer med manglende datatilgængelighed. Problemer udløses typisk efter en SP-genstart. 

 

"Brug af vSphere til at ændre den fysiske konfiguration af en UnityVSA VM (såsom tilføjelse eller fjernelse af netværksgrænseflader eller ændring af VM'ens cachestørrelse) understøttes ikke, bortset fra tilføjelse af virtuelle diske til lagring af brugerdata." Resolution

  • Tilføj fjernede vNIC er igen ved hjælp af vSphere, og genstart SP
  • Fortryd alle fysiske ændringer foretaget i vSphere, og genstart SP
