Instructions
If VxRail requests to create a datastore on DD, it essentially means creating a NFS share on DD.
Once NFS share created on DD, it can then be mounted on ESX which VxRail can use it as a datastore to move VM s / VM disk files from one datastore to this share/datastore.

Additional Information
- VMware supports both VMFS and NFS for datastore.
- Both the datastore supports vMotion, which essentially is a feature to move VM s from one host to another.
- There isn t much of a difference between VMFS and NFS other than NFS is file-level and VMFS is a block-level file system.
