Instructions
- Download the grab utility from https://central.dell.com/solutions/GrabUnixLinux (requires a Dell account).
- Click Download link for the Grab Utility for SunOS script file.
- Use SCP, SFTP, or WINSCP client to upload emcgrab_SunOS_vx.x.x.tar to /usr/emc.
- Find any emcgrab utility that is installed before.
# cd /usr/emc/ # ls
Or use the Solaris find command.
find /usr -name emcgrab -print
Remove any emcgrab found.
# rm -rf emcgrab
- Install emcgrab to /usr/emc using the tar command.
# cd /usr/emc # ls -l Output: emcgrab_SunOS_vX.X.X.tar # tar -xvf emcgrab_SunOS_vX.X.X.tar # cd emcgrab # ./emcgrab.sh
- Collect emcgrab, the script generates output into below folder.
# cd /usr/emc/emcgrab/outputs # ls
- Download the emcgrab file <hostname>_YYYY-mm-dd-hh.mm.ss>_<OS>_emcgrab_<version>_[full |lite]_CC<ServiceRequestNumber>.tar.<Z|gz> file using SCP client and attach it to the relevant SR.
Additional Information
FTP access requires either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Google Chrome with IETab or Microsoft EDGE with IETab or a third-party ftp client.
