- Installing additional software on an Avamar server.
- Modifying the operating system to enable custom monitoring, reporting or asset tracking.
The Avamar server environment is sold as an appliance and is carefully specified, tuned, and controlled. This is in order to maintain the integrity and performance of the Avamar server application and any subsystems which are part of the official Avamar product.
Dell does not support the installation or use of any third-party software, scripts, or similar changes to an Avamar server.
