Instructions
ECS NFS is supported on VMware datastores. ECS uses NFSv3 if the client supports that properly, then the connectivity is fine.
It is however not recommended to use ECS NFS for any type of active VMware workloads. Use a share for ISO repos or files. Avoid placing VMDKs or anything with heavy I/O demands on ECS NFS, as it is not recommended.
ECS is not the best use case for this in cluster environments with High Availability (HA) and Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) enabled.
