Instructions

The following command queries the Avamar utilization value:

snmpbulkwalk -On -c public -v2c <ip-address> .1.3.6.1.4.1.15597.1.1.3.2.5
.1.3.6.1.4.1.15597.1.1.3.2.5 = INTEGER: 27
The series of numbers can be broken into two sections:
      • The numbers in blue represent the Avamar Management Information Base (MIB)
        .1.3.6.1.4.1.15597
      • The numbers in green see the hierarchy of 'gettable' information.
        .1.1.3.2.5

This resolves to: Software, MCS, dpn, dpnData, utilization.

This can be seen visually by highlighting the levels of the hierarchy with a screenshot of the MIB text file (/usr/local/avamar/doc/AVAMAR-MCS-MIB.txt):
