proxy_selection_algorithm參數是透過 /usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_data/prefs/mcserver.xml設定。

它具有三個值：

hot_add_preferred
  • MCS 偏好並根據熱新增功能選取 Proxy。如果找不到任何數據，MCS 會回復至沒有熱新增功能的 Proxy。此為預設設定。
 
hot_add_only
  • MCS 僅根據熱新增功能使用 Proxy。如果沒有找到，MCS 會暫停備份或還原作業，並等待熱新增功能的 Proxy 可用。
 
ignore_associated_datastores
  • 此設定會導致在選擇程序期間忽略已知的 Proxy 資料存放區關聯。這可讓MCS從較大的可用 Proxy 集區中選取。如同hot_add_preferred設定，具備熱新增功能的 Proxy 比不具備熱新增功能的 Proxy 更偏好。但是，如果沒有找到支援熱新增的 Proxy，MCS 會回復使用不含熱新增功能的 Proxy。
