Instructions

  1. If the Platform Services Controller (PSC) management password is known, see step 8 to update the new host password to VxRail Manager, otherwise, reset the host management password from the disconnected host by step 2~7
  2. Access PSC as https://<psc-ip-or-fqdn>/psc
  3. Login with the administrator username and password
  4. Click User and Groups on the left panel and select User tab on the right panel, change domain according to your setting, and locate the management account
  5. If the management account is in localos domain, log in to PSC using appliance shell following VMware documentThis hyperlink is taking you to a website outside of Dell Technologies., and reset the account's password using "passwd" command
  6. If the management account is in some other domain, modify it directly
  7. Double check that the new password is working by accessing PSC
  8. Update the new PSC management password with VxRail Manager using RESTful api:
