How to update SQL drivers on EMC SourceOne servers

To update the SQL drivers on SourceOne machines:

1) Install the current SQL Native Client Driver, located here at the time of this article:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=50402
    No reboot is needed.

2) Update the registry settings for SourceOne ODBC configuration.  Note that that references to 
    "SQL Server Native Client 11.0" reflect the current SQL Server Native Client version at the time of the writing of this article.
    A newer version would require a change to the '11.0' version number in the steps below.

Important This method contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry.
However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully.
For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it.
Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.
