Instructions

ECS CAS enables CAS Software Development Kits (SDK) based client applications to store, retrieve, and delete fixed content objects from ECS storage. Third-party applications and CAS SDK are to be used for the retrieval of data from CAS buckets which is to be read on AWS.

This is because it is not possible to query the ECS directly. To access and retrieve CAS data through REST API, as CAS buckets are not directly compatible for AWS using S3.

CAS (Port 3218) is seen as a different API to the REST API. Which supports S3 (Ports 9020 & 9021), and requires a CAS SDK in order to understand and access CAS buckets on AWS S3.

Additional Information

See the ECS Admin and Data Access guides on the ECS Support Page. See Manuals and Documents for your applicable ECS code level on support for CAS SDK.
