Instructions
VVols can be created from the Unisphere but cannot be accesed from the ESX hosts with FC adapter. Access to block LUN works fine using the same FC connection so no zoning or FC connectivity issues.File VVols and IScsi access works .
For Vvol support the Host I/O adapter needs to support "Secondary LUNID (Enables VVols) " feature .
Commands to check if the Adapter supports VVols:
From the ESX host :
# esxcli storage core adapter list
# esxcli storage core device list pe-only
For Vvol support the Host I/O adapter needs to support "Secondary LUNID (Enables VVols) " feature .
