Symptoms

  • NetWorker VMware Protection （NVP） 設定為使用應用程式一致性 （MSVMAPPAGENT） 保護 Microsoft SQL VM。 
  • 備份無法建立虛擬機器的靜止快照。出現錯誤，指出：
Failed to get status of create snapshot task: An error occurred while quiescing the virtual machine. See the virtual machine's event log for details.
  • 執行非靜止快照 （無應用程式一致性） 的標準映像備份成功，不會發生問題。
注意：SQL VM 備份使用「靜止快照」在 VM 上執行應用程式一致性。如果 VM 不是 SQL VM，則不應使用靜止快照。直接從 VMware 執行 VM 的靜止快照時，可能會發現類似的錯誤。

Cause

此問題發生在 NetWorker 以外。

NetWorker VMware Protection （NVP） 使用 VMware 快照功能，為虛擬機器 （VM） 建立靜止快照 （應用程式一致） 備份。

在 VMware Tools 自動升級，或 VMware 工具安裝在虛擬機器上時損毀後，可能會出現此問題。

Resolution

  • 在 SQL 虛擬機器上，檢查 C：\ProgramData\VMware\VMware Tools\vmtoolsUpgrade.log 是否有任何錯誤或警告。 
  • 手動重新安裝或修復 VMware Tools 的安裝，然後重新開機虛擬機器。
