  • Avamar client backups are failing to Data Domain.
  • Avamar maintenance jobs are failing.

Cause

The required ports are to open.

Resolution

The following TCP inbound ports must be open on the Avamar client when performing Avamar backups to Data Domain:
  • 111: DDboost / NFS (portmapper)
  • 2049: DDboost / NFS
  • 2051: DDBoost / Optimized Duplication
  • 2052: DDBoost / NFS Mountd / Optimized Duplication
