Symptoms

Die Abschlusszeit eines Avamar VMware-Image-Backups ist inkonsistent.

Manchmal wird das Backup schnell abgeschlossen.

An "langsamen" Tagen dauert das Backup viel länger. Die folgende dauert 24 Stunden.

Die Backups haben ähnliche Größen und Änderungsraten. Beide werden als "synthetic full" ausgeführt. Die Protokolle weisen darauf hin, dass das schnellere Backup "hotadd" verwendet.

Das langsamere Backup meldet ein Problem mit der Verbindung über Hot-Add. Es wird auf die Verwendung von nbd zurückgegriffen.

Cause

An jedem Tag wurde für das Backup ein anderer Proxy verwendet.

Schnelles Backup:

Langsameres Backup:
2017-09-22 02:00:15 avvcbimage Info <18672>: proxy VM Instance name is: xxxxx-proxy-2 
Der am 21. September verwendete Proxy war am 22. September nicht verfügbar.
Das Backup verwendete einen anderen Proxy, der Konfigurationsprobleme aufwies.
Bei Verwendung dieses anderen Proxys konnte der schnellere Transportmodus "hotadd" nicht genutzt werden.

Resolution

Das Protokoll empfiehlt, was zu prüfen ist, wenn der Hot-Add-Transport nicht verwendet werden kann.

Wenn die VM-Konfiguration nicht geändert wurde, überprüfen Sie die proxybezogenen Konfigurationsprüfungen.
