Symptoms
In Unisphere Service Manager (USM), when trying to add a DAE ( Hardware--> Hardware Installation--> Install Disk Array Enclosure), the page with the bus selection does not appear and after clicking next, in the page where the cables should be connected, the DAE add is failing with error message:
"A fault has been detected on the storage system. Contact your service provider immediately for assistance. Installation cannot continue while the storage system is in this state."
This only happens in case one bus has already got the maximum number of DAEs.
Cause
When USM's DAE Installation Wizard encountered a bus full of enclosures, it ignored any remaining buses, preventing USM from displaying the proper enclosures.
Resolution
Install the latest USM version 1.3.9.1.0236-1.
